NDX iRadio stations show in Preset but not connecting
Posted by: Count Schaffhausen on 18 April 2018
My NDX was working just fine until last weekend when I tried to listen to the Naim Radio Paradise stream - the NDX says the radio list is empty but the preset list shows all the stations. It tries to tune then says press play to continue but nothing seems to be loaded and I cannot access any of the presets.
I assumed it was because I needed to upgrade the frimware - doing that was a nightmare! Alas still not able to access.
Please can anybody help me to resolve this problem!
Many thanks

I installed 4.6 on my 272 last week and Internet radio was working fine till today. Now I cannot connect to any stations on either 272 nor Muso. Might just leave it a while. Upnp works fine.

My stations won’t play on my Atom either, was fine earlier then nothing, reset everything and still nothing, some sort of vtuner issue I’m guessing

Same here. In fact the radio stations have all disappeared on my Unitiserve n-Serve app. Glad to hear others are experiencing similar issues

Same with me : NDX & 80/20mb/s internet. All the Naim iRadio services are affected, browsing & presets, must be a vTuner issue

Same here, tried the Nova and no IRadio available (the NDX is playing B.B. King).

vTuner is working as normal on pc and android, casting to chrome audio for radio fix

Same tonight with a Unitilite and a Muso. I suspect something on the Naim side isn’t working ok. It’s strange as I would think that my device connect directly to the stations without any middle man. That’s odd.

I have only had Linn Jazz available on my 272 since I did the update, which was the channel I last had playing before I updated.I did a factory reset after,so I thought it wiped out the stations or something, and I just had to research them.My plan was to read the manual, but have not got around to it yet, maybe there is something more to it?

Back to normal. Would have missed Radio Paradise so a relief.

Yup all OK again this morning

So why does this happen? Are all stations routed somehow via a Vtuner server, I thought the software in your unit just pointed you to the URL directly?

As I understand it, iRadio (Naims webradio service is Naim's section of vTuner. This includes the specific Naim Choices, BBC if you are UK, Location is the many locations (countries) that are on the standard vTuner portfolio, but are via the Naim iRadio link. If you load "Added Stations" these load the URL from wherever you found them
