Munich

I am very very much looking forward to the show even combined with the Can Jam, I might also need to go two days instead of one to cover it sufficiently. In this post I will also provide you with a report as I hope others can do.
According to my Magazine the main setup will be ND555, statement and a Focal Grande Utupia EM Evo.....so let’s see
It’s this we then ????????
Be interesting if they use 2 power supplies for the nd555, and swap between them?
I wonder what chord electronics are announcing tomorrow ???

Turntable ?
That’s funny
Ps. Outside the obvious Naim visit, if anybody wants me to check something out. Let me know. I can't promise that I will get to everything but at least I can try to catch some of the interests on the forum.
Hi Bert,Dynaudio is supposed to be revealing something new,if you are at all interested in that brand...see if you can find out what,if you don’t mind.

There's an announcement from PMC as well - coming tomorrow. New, revised Facts?

Turntable ?
I wonder how many 'taps' that would have...
Just one, to turn on the water supply for the hydraulic turbine that powers the platter.
Supposed to be Fact 20, circa £45k, and rather large

chord dac with intended naim sound perhaps?

Yes please, I would like you to sneak out and try as much beer as possible. It is Munich, after all.
The ND555 would be the most important news for me, Bert, although partnering it with Statement and Grande Utopias is not really providing the majority of their potential customers (including many forum members) with a taste of what the ND555 will do for them.
An upgrade from my NDS to an ND555 would be a very tight squeeze but that's a demo I'd like to hear; the upgrade to a Statement to go with it just isn't going to happen this side of a lottery win... and I won't say anything about those Focal speakers (they 'ain't going to happen either).
Roger
PS - enjoy the show Bert - 2 days is a sound investment of your time.

Mayby Davina has reached production, to feed into Dave and thus allow those with vinyl collections to experience Dave...

it was a bit ironic because Analogmusic is always referring to the strict naim intended sound, but uses chord dave.....
But if anyone uses LP12 what are you really listening to? The Linn or the Naim amplifier with Naim intended performance

You forgot to mention the speakers as well.
of course...... but Naim made amplifiers before speakers..... the very first product Naim made was the amplifier....
My guess the special new product Chord electronics are planning to announce tomorrow is the new Chord Digital amplifier.....
along with the Analog to Digital converter based on Dave....
It will be interesting reading reports of the ND555....lucky are those who will get to hear it tomorrow
i read the commentary on Apoxona show in the stereotimes site: chord intended sound was: chord dave, chord blue, and chord cpm integrated ( 14 k dollars) driving Raidho d41 140k speakers! curious set up: chord intended sound is to drive 140k speakers with 14k integrated...
why not supernait driving Wilson 200k Alexandria?
the front end of Blu2/Dave is up to the task I guess?

Ok will mark it on my list - let's see if I see them.

As I am living in Germany - that wouldn't be a big challenge. However I don't like beer so much......., so I will pass on that one....
I’d be interested in a Blu2 but without the CD bit (I already have a world class CD player I don’t use). I’ve been told a couple of times by dealers I need to hear Dave fronted by the Blu2 (and to keep a tight hold of my socks).

And there’s absolutely nothing wrong with mega expensive speakers driven by a relatively inexpensive amp as long as the amp is up to it - and maybe that will be the point of their demo.

of course, just the wrong speakers or chord electronics separated would be better choice....
