Uniti Atom: Bring TIDAL App to homescreen & Tidal -> Favorites

Hi all,

i am completeley new to naim itself and also the ATOM which i own a few days.

Im very pleased with the device, but i have two open items i could not find any assist to in the FAQ or other sources. Hope sb can help.

1) I´d like to make the TIDAL App accessible without app via the home screen of the device. It works with Spotify (which i dont use), but i did not find a way to link and access TIDAL here. I always have to open the app which is quire annoying to me.

2) The support simulator states that i can make songs and albums in TIDAL favorites. But why do they not appear in the Favorites section of the device ? All i find is the streaming radio stations; seems a bit pure to the idea of making Titles/albums accessible directly via the favorites button.

1) Tidal works a little differently to Spotify, and is controlled from the Naim app. If you prefer the Tidal app, you can use this, and use Chromecast to send the stream to the Atom

2) Go to Settings - Input Settings - Tidal, and select ‘Include Tidal favourites on home screen.’

will try that one i have re-setup the atom at the final place. I´m beginning to wonder, what to to with the regained free space where my old hifi setup used to stand ;-)

I now selected the TIDAL Input to include Tidal favorites on home screen but i am not sure if it just don´t work or if i just don´t get it right.

When i open Tidal in the naim app i mark an Album/Track/Playlist with the "Star" but it would not appear in the devices favorites list.

Did i miss anything ? Do i have to mark the favorites differently to make them appear in the Fav-Screen ?

Have you enabled it in the settings/input/Tidal settings menu? I’m not at home, so can’t check this on my system, but I believe you need to turn this on/off yourself.

Yes; Settings/Inputs/TIDAL/"Tidal Favorites in Start-Menu" Checked

Now i am wondering, which Favorite to set in Tidal to make it appear in the Start Menu.

Favourites on the front panel relate to radio stations only, favourites within the Tidal app are different and selecting an album as a favourite for example by pressing the star merely makes it available in the album tab on the app

Got it;

This icon only makes Favorites in the Start page of the app, not in the devices favorites.

Unfortunately there seems to be no way to listen to tidal without using the app.

Moreover, direct interaction with Tidal is available only via the iOS / Android naim app; it won’t show on the Atom screen and you can’t choose it using the fancy remote control. The Tidal favourites will show in the app screen on your phone, available by album, track, and artist (along with the radio presets) but, as Merky says, only the iRadio presets will be visible on the Atom screen. Hope this helps, even though it isn’t what you were hoping to hear!
