Turning inputs off on muso QB

A factory reset on your devices should clear the Spotify connected devices cache, no need to unplug everything!

It's not allowing someone access to your wifi actually, its when your Naim device is paired with a mobile and used to play stuff on someone else's Spotify account. Normally it's Bluetooth pairing rather than wifi. The Spotify system remembers approved replay devices and if your visitor goes off with your Naim unit still in their list of replay devices, then they can select that from wherever they are and your device will play their choice. As they can't hear that it's working, they will probably turn it up loud!

Why not just change your password in Spotify. That should stop unauthorised access surely

It's not the OP's Spotify account. It's the absent friend's Spotify account. And the friend changing their password wouldn't work either. They need to remove the Naim unit from their playback devices list.

So the solution for the OP is; not to allow anybody who lives elsewhere to pair anything with the OP’s Naim music system?

That is certainly one strategy that would work. But it doesn't help after the event. As another poster said back at the beginning of the thread, resetting the muso to factory settings is the way to go now.

Thanks for you input(no pun intended).

I don't think that pairing someone's device (usually a phone)with your Spotify enabled equipment is the problem.

I think what happens is that once you have given them access to your router over WiFi,  it shows them all available devices on your network.  For  eg, my friend was able to launch Spotify on his phone from afar , under available  devices it showed my Denon receiver  and he was able to play music through it.  There was no pairing etc, it just shows up on his list of available devices.

There must be an easier way to stop this without resetting all devices, I don't want to be doing a factory reset on the receiver or Muso.

Ray once the other device is out of range of your wifi, the fact you allowed someone access to it makes no difference.

Anyway believe what you like. My advice still is the same.

I turned several inputs off on my Star I guess I'll try to do it on my Qb in the bedroom.  However, I have to say it's really incredible to have it sync with the Star and roaming around the house is a luxury and great sound.  Now I'm really busy loading my CDs into the Star.  I did have one faint aha concern thinking I should have bought the separates incase the streamer has to get fixed or the CDP. The sound and function I'm having no problem with but there's always something to learn about on the app.

I think you will find that you can't turn off inputs in the Qb. But I expect that the effect on sound quality of having them on is too subtle to notice on a Qb anyway, remarkable as it is. So not something to worry about I think!
