Hifi shops in Salisbury?

Posted by: Lewis on 26 May 2018

Im in Salisbury this morning and thought I’d see if any Hifi shops existed other than the Naim factory, but they all seem to be closed?

can this be true?!

Yes, sadly Salisbury Hifi went some years ago. Last thing I bought from them was a box of Maxell metal cassettes and some Maxell reel tape. That must have been around 2009, or thereabouts.

And the old Naim shop is now a restaurant!

I bought some used allaes from Audio Oasis in Salisbury, someone had sold their staff build ones, I think he’s still there. He doesn’t sell new Naim but that is Naim's choice he led me to believe.

Shame, it seems the humble hifi shop is a dying trade...I hope this is not the case though.

There seems to be one place there still but I don't think it's a regular shop per se.

Yeovil is probably the nearest for hi-fi shops, it has two, which just happen to be next door to each other.

I'd say that Chandlers Ford, Winchester and Bournemouth are closer - possibly more
