Hi Guys
Ive just taken delivery of a Uniti Star today, I noticed the connector on the back where the power cord plugs in is loose, it doesn’t feel like it’s going to come out, it’s just not solidly fixed.
Is this normal or do I have a potential problem with my unit?
im also not happy with the packaging used by the supplier, the white Naim box was simply wrapped in a bin bag to cover up what was inside, thats obviously not a Naim issue but I would be interested to know if like many other products, naim normally supply their boxes inside a plain box?
I’m a bit sceptical, that my unit is possibley not direct from Naim to my supplier, especially as I was told delivery would be end of July, then suddenly they had one in stock!

You’ve been done. My loaner Star came wrapped in a Sevenoaks Hi-Fi van. Though admittedly I didn’t get to keep the van.
As HH says, the power sockets are deceptively floppy as part of the vibration decoupling.

My Star came inside naim box inside a plain one inside my retailers car. He installed and set it up for before going through it again, great service I say.
Plus stripping down my old stuff to take away in px . Got a great deal all round.

Cheers Guys, it’s not a Naim bag I’m afraid, just a standard black one which I ripped to bits, it was still wrapped up with all the factory bits of tape etc so it’s new, just a shame so little care was given to the transport.
this is my first venture into HiFi, I bought some Second hand Kef Cresta 2 bookshelf speakers with stands for £60 a couple of months ago and I’ve just paid more than twice that for the speaker cables, still, it sounds great ????

It's a Naim feature found across the range. The cutout on the chassis is very slightly oversized and this allows a small amount of free movement to the socket, which means the chassis gets some decoupling any vibrations coming in from the mains cabling. The theory and listening tests led to the Powerline decoupled mains cables, and when all are combined it maximises the benefits.
