Totem Forest and Nova, a good match?

Thoughts on this? I’m moving my main system (UnitiCute2, NAP100 and Totem Hawks) to a new media room setup and getting a new system with a Core and Nova for the bigger lounge. I’m looking at running Forests with the Nova, as I really like the performance of the Hawks, but will have more power to drive the Forests, and the aesthetics are a good match for the lounge setup.

I’m sure it will be great! Enjoy!

Mike,

Can't comment on the Nova but can thoroughly recommend the upgrade from Hawks to Forests.

I did the same a few months back after blowing up the main driver on a Hawk. The Forests give you more of everything especially bass clarity and treble s enjoy!

I found the treble a bit harsh at times when I had Forest. I've been told the Forest Sigs have corrected that issue. Wouldn't mind trying a pair of those at some point.

Hopefully  [@mention:17757776930523932]  will reply. He's owned all three; Hawks, Forest, and Sigs.

Yes a one day classic combination I'm sure.

I agree to some extent about the Forest's harsh treble. I found that at higher volumes but normal volumes with Naim source and amps, it was OK

I have the Forests and drive them with a 200/202.   No problems.  My listening room is small but there is power to spare

Thanks GregU and others. I think I’m heading in the right direction. Out of interest, what size is your listening room and your amp output. I’d be running the Hawks of the NAP100 (50w) in the media room (around 20 sq.m). If I go with the Forests of the Nova (80w) in the lounge, which is open plan, so around 90 sq.m - though listening across the room over about 4m.

My room is about 16 x 10 feet.     So a bit under 20 square meters (I guess like 16). Pretty sure the NAP 200 is rated 60 W
