Logitech harmony and Mu-so

Can anyone tell me if there are remotes codes that are available that could be used with a harmony remote for selecting specific inputs rather than having to use next and previous, and the same for radio presets. I’d like to incorporate my miso with the resto my equipment but the lack of selecting specific inputs makes it unusable. I can do it with the iOS remote app, but this is not integrated and I find the process too slow

Surely you could just fire up the Harmony app on your PC or Mac and manually add the Muso's remote commands to a Harmony activity?   After all, that's what I do when when the Harmony doesn't automatically find the appropriate commands from the Logitech database.   I had to do this with SWMBO's Panasonic PVR, which used the same remote control set as her Panasonic bluray player - so I set one of them to use a different control set, then added the commands manually to its 'activity'.  Tedious, but didn't take very long.

Trouble is I can’t use the harmony remote to directly select the TOSLINK as input. I have to use the next previous source input buttons/commands. The harmony remote has no idea what the current input source is so can’t use the next/prep buttons/commands.

Zanc, your best bet is to get in touch with Naim support, explain what you're trying to do and ask if there are any direct Remote command codes available.

DUNGASSIN. I'd already used your suggestion to setup the Harmony. It only sets up functionality for the buttons on the existing Mu-so remote.

I've contacted Naim (RICHARD suggestion) themselves and now wait for an encouraging response. I find the existing remote and corresponding Mu-so behaviour frustrating for such a top end device. The current small remote is difficult to use as buttons are too close together (at least for my fingers) and I often have to stand up to understand what the remote is selecting by inspecting the combination of lights on top of the Mu-so, defeating the purpose of a remote.

OK.  The only problem I have with my Harmony Elite is its 'habit' of randomly changing to the DEVICES screen when I put it down.   Annoying, but just means I have to reselect my current activity.   SWMBO's does the same, and she doesn't usually notice, meaning that I have to go and sort things out for her (sigh)

Just received the following sad news from Naim support...

“Thank you for your email, unfortunately you will only be able to ue the Mu-so remote and the App to control the Mu-So, and as far as we know here there are no plans to change this on the future.”

Ot sure I will have a viable solution.

If the muso is an IR remote then the Harmony can learn what the commands are and you can add them manually to the device itself. I had to do this when I wanted to control my DAC. For some reason the bluetooth input was not in the automatic setup so I had to add the input and then got it to learn the ir command manually.

As I’ve said above the Harmoney remote does already emulate ALL my-so remote buttons. What I’m looking for are new codes that will take me directly to the required input source and not use the next/previous buttons.

Oh sorry misunderstood. So how do you choose the input using the muso remote?

You have to use the next and previous buttons on the naim remote. The Harmony remote has to remember all input transitions and can easily go out of sun. Even using the Nsim remote I have to stand up to check what input it is on.

Ah yes I can see why it wont work.

Functionality for direct selection of input source already exists in the Mu-so as it is used by my iOS app. So effort required by Naim is minimal.
