I've recently upgraded to fibre broadband, and now find that n-Serve, which I use to control my HDX, acting as a ripper / streamer to my NDS, no longer sees any of my music.
It's all viewable via the front screen on the HDX, but no information appears on the n-Serve app. (I'm using n-Serve, rather than the Naim app, since the HDX is directly connected via TOSLink to the NDS).
I've been in touch with Phil Harris, who reckons that the problem lies with the new router and it's DCHP protocols, which are not communicating with the HDX.
I tried re-installing the old router, but of course, it will no longer connect with the internet, now that I'm on fibre.
My limited knowledge of all things networking means that I'm not too comfortable with the idea of messing with the router settings,(assuming that I even knew how to start), without some basic advice from folks on here, so any help would be appreciated.
Otherwise, It might be the safest option to consult with a local networking boffin to resolve the issue.

Hi Simon,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you with the router info.
The router appears to be from Sagemcom, device version FAST5364-3.TB, and was supplied by TalkTalk.
Getting into the router configuration pages reveals the following :
TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub
version SG4K10001400t
What I find baffling is that, using my old router, everything was fine, bearing in mind the fact that I was using n-Serve rather than the Naim app, due to the TOSLink connection to overcome the lack of UPnP servers.
It's only with the arrival the new fibre router that all info on the right hand side of the iPad screen in n-Serve has gone missing, i.e. artist/album name etc.
Makes me fondly remember how simple life was, spinning silver discs!
Regards,
Dave.

Dave I don't have my US connected or switched on at the moment so n-serve is uninstalled, but I recall that if the right hand side of the n-serve display was blank then you had to select one of the top couple of items in the menu on the left, find the server which would appear there and click on the radio button until it turned green, then when you selected another menu option, all sprung to life.
Have you tried that? The HDX and US are the same in this regard.
best
David

Ay Caramba!!!!!!
Focused as I was on the "what did you touch last?" school of fault finding, it was easy to assume that the introduction of the new router was the cause of the problem.
Poked in the ribs by David Hendon, above, I re-visited n-Serve, and, of course, "no servers found" was there as usual.
However .................. with my iPhone scanning my network, using Net Analyser, I could see the IP address of the HDX, and de-selecting "Auto Connection" within n-Serve allowed me to manually input this info ....................... woohoo, everything back to normal now, not only on the iPad, but also on the n-Serve desktop client on my MacBook.
Not the most scientific nor logical approach to sorting this out, but sometimes a flash of inspiration and blind luck wins the day, and I've admitted several times on this forum that my knowledge of matters computery is sketchy, at best.
Happy days.

Hi David,
Thanks for the suggestion to revisit n-Serve, and it was when I noticed that "Autoconnection" was ticked on the "Settings" page that I entered "what if" mode.
I'm afraid that, short of a return to Naim to have a replacement hard drive fitted, I'm going to have to live without UPnP servers, which went awol, after a brief trip "off piste", so to speak.
