NAC 32.5

I am running a turntable as the main input. Vinyl is my main source of music. However I do also want to run a DAC and a CD player through the pre amp. I'm planning on running the DAC through the tape input and the CD player through the tuner

I run a unitiqute through the tape 2 or tuner output on mine and it works well, unsure about a DAC or CDP though you may need specific boards.

That sounds right to me - use the Din inputs, tuner probably being marginally the best.

There is a reason the tuner is better.

The contacts in the switching mechanism become dirty/gummed up over time, the outer contacts are effected more than the centre contact. (the tuner).

Therefore, use phono 2, tuner and tape 1.

Also, there is another option, use the tape input, and switch to tape monitor, this will bypass the source selection contacts. In my system I find it is an improvement, but only slight.

Use the phono 2 with "straight through boards" (wires) for the DAC.

The 32.5 works best with fewer boards installed, at least fewer boards that use power.

It is my favorite Naim product - beautiful sounds, particularly the girl's voices. It is no doubt "distortion" but beautiful none the less.

Enjoy!
