BBC Proms 2018

With the new season about to start, does anyone know if the BBC is broadcasting the proms in an experimental higher res format please?
Some interesting proms so far, although I was a little disappointed with the Young Musician prom (didn't flow for me), and I'm beginning to find Jacob Collier, the darling of BBC music, a bit unbearable....

I don’t think so. This is a real shame as last year's FLAC proms broadcasts gave some of the best sounds I have heard from my system. It would be nice to know why they haven't been repeated this year. Some members of the government seem to have a big downer on the Beeb, so perhaps they're trying to avoid appearing too elite and specialised for a public service broadcaster.
Maybe we should lobby them?

I asked SWMBO if we could watch the Proms last night to which she agreed. Well within 15 minutes we had to switch over.
The chap singing was making our ears bleed. We didn't like it.
I'm assuming it was Jacob Collier.
