Nac272 preamp with PSU or ?????

I have the Nap200 with nac272 preamp and have been tested a psu from another manufacturer in UK

After 450 hours of burn in my conclusion is rhat i lost the PRAT naim sound ........rhytm and timing

Not bwhat i have expected so far. My question is

How will an orignal Naim XPS effect the sound ?

I liked the dynamic and full bodied sound from the other xps but the naim sound has to be the same in PRAT

is that a compromise any way ??

I added a s/h 555DR (£4000) to my 272 (& s/h 300DR), and IMO the improvement from a bare 272 is well worth the money.

(Don't forget that the 500 series have a 15 year service life rather than 10 for others, so that reduces the effective TCO when buying s/h and keeping the equipment for a longer period of time).
