A 555 for every source

as an almost new owner of a used cd555 thanks to a forum friend Analog I will be able to use my 555ps

now also curious about new stremers as well

both cd555 and nd555 are 555ps only sources but it will pain me to buy another 555ps

there must be a way to power both sources one by one using a single ps for us using 2 digital naim sources

Maybe Naim can come up with a solution other than connect/disconnect for old customer who still love their cd players

Don't forget the pin configuration for the two 555PS outlets is different, so instead of a 'dual supply', you have a single supply split over two outlets.

Nice idea though.

Here's my take on the subject... Using two 555PS to drive my NDS, I've often wondered if I can make use of the second outlet (the XPS configuration one) to power a second device.... my ND272 for example. This would make more sense if I could describe it in terms of outlet I and outlet II, one driving the digital side and the other the analogue side of the NDS. So there's a 'spare' XPS type outlet that would hook into an XPS powered, single socket source (272, DAC, CDX2 etc).

So far no-one's risked damaging the second device, so there have been no responses to this suggestion, which was run up the flag pole about a year ago if I remember rightly.
