Naim and the current hot weather

With the current heat wave hitting much of the UK and many parts of the northern hemisphere, I have noticed my Naim amp, notably my 250.2 is getting rather warm to the touch even when working just moderately hard ... but interestingly I have noticed the balance of the sound has changed . with it becoming slightly richer and more fuller sounding . most noticeable on some older thinner recordings... now I concede  this could be because of 101 things, and so yes it might be nothing to do  with the increased amp temp... but I can’t help it might be related.. so has anyone else noticed this?

Living in Malaysia, Thunder storms and hot humid climate are all year round but my Naims survive and thrives ..

I would suggest it maybe something  to do with the power grid. More Air cons going to keep people cool. I’ve found I get great results when our local power is hydro fed to our area, AC from the start to here, as soon as high demand starts the coal fire power station from the north island of New Zealand starts up, my boxes seem to go off the mark, it maybe because they send the power as D/c then convert to A/C. I have a mains spur which pretty much is about as raw as it gets other than paying a monthly charge for another phase to my stereo. My wife really likes that idea. In saying that I my be dreaming about the ac/dc thing. I have noticed the olives are a little off when the rooms cold and the boxes have been waiting for Daddy to come play. If doesn’t take long before they get the grove up.

A friend of mine in another town has noticed what was mentioned in the OP, he feels hot weather wind affects the ions in the air which affect the power to the house.

Imo we are luck to have boxes that can even be this sensitive. Some won’t agree I’m sure

Much might depend on the listening hot spot orientation, if facing north, south, east or west.   Facing East might positively charge those ions.   Facing North/West might negate any effect of temperature changes.

More important perhaps the orientation of the hifi boxes over the speakers ?

Heresy I tell you, burn me at the stake. ????

like I said lucky we have systems that can reveal the differences.  Live with it long enough it’s not hard to notice.
