Tidal Authorisation

I have just signed up with Tidal HIfi and have downloaded the app on my iPad, I can get Tidal to play through my Superuniti via the Naim app but not the Tidal app. I can’t seem to “authorise” the Superuniti on the Tidal app, any help would be appreciated.

You don’t need to use the Tidal app; just do it all through the Naim.

The Tidal app instructs the iPad to play music through the the iPad's audio; the Naim app instructs your Naim gear to play Tidal audio streams with no iPad involvement in the audio.

I can play and control Spotify on the iPad app, I assumed I could do the same with Tidal?

Spotify is implemented differently to Tidal, and Spotify Connect does indeed use its own app to control playback through a streamer. Tidal doesn’t. That’s just the way it is!
