Playing Tidal through an NDX

Sorry to appear a numpty, but just how do you (best ) play tidal through an NDX?

Using the Naim app with the latest firmware. Connect your NDX via Ethernet or Wifi to your home broadband router and you should be away. You will need to put your Tidal account username and password into the Naim app when prompted.

There are things that can be done if you get dropouts etc, but only go there if you need to.

The other thing to say is that you need your NDX to be on 4.4 firmware or later. If your NDX recently went from 4.3 or earlier directly to 4.6 (the current firmware) (missing out 4.4) then Tidal doesn't show up in the app or via the NDX front panel and what you have to do now is firstly install the 4.4 firmware and then reinstall the 4.6 firmware.

One really trivial issue that stumped me when I first subscribed to Tidal is that the Tidal icon does not appear on the first page of the Naim App.

The first page displays 'iRadio', 'UPnP', 'USB/Pod', 'Bluetooth' and 'Spotify'. You have to scroll across this group of icons in order to find the remaining three which are 'Tidal', 'Analogue' and 'Digital'. It was only when someone pointed this out to me that I was able to access Tidal via the Naim app.

Do you have all those display icons turned on & in use ???       I have turned off all the icons I don't or rarely use,  it takes a just second or so to turn on when needed & it gives me a one view app Home Screen.

Thanks for all replies.

Turms out I'd skipped  4.4 before installing  4.6.  Installing 4.4 and reinstalling 4.6 solved the problem.

Thanks for guiding me to a solution.
