Proximity of NAS to Virgin Superhub 3 & Sound Quality?

Posted by: GraemeH on 02 September 2018

I’ve had WD ‘My Book Live’ nas sitting very close to and in parallel with the Virgin Superhub 3. Today I separated them much further apart and I’m thinking everything is sounding more fluid, more transparent, more open...?

Is their any reason the wireless router would affect the nas negatively if sat close together...or is it just a) my imagination or b) the Sunday mains is cleaner?

Cheers

Probably  a or b... but if you are using screened Ethernet leads, these can become troublesome conductors and current can be induced in them... and it might be moving the cables around his disrupted this

AQ Cinnamon x3 Simon between NAS/Router/Switch Simon...The more albums I’m listening to to more convinced I am that a change has occurred.

Thanks

I would guess the wireless signal is getting into the shield (I think cinnamon is shielded) and causing a signal to get where you don’t want it - as SIS says.
