App Update NDX

I am at a loss to update the app. Got to Google play where I read :-
"PEGI 3" "Installed"
When I open the app it states app version 2.7.0
I thought it was meant to be 2.8 ?
Do I have to uninstall the app and start again?

Are you sure you selected the naim app update from the store? PEGI is a rating system for video games.
Thanks for quick reply will go and investigate - I got an eMail from Naim saying the app was updated, clicked the link provided and ended up where I stated.
Keen - very keen to get it updated - stop re-starting my tablet every time I wish to play another CD rip
It looks like the Android app has not been updated on Google Play on my laptop, it also shows me its "Installed" (on my Android phone). But touching the Install button on the laptop (& go through the process) installs version 2.8 on my phone.
I am not very good with tablets, but fine with PCs - The eMail I received had a link, I have now done as SJBABBEY suggested :-
Scrolling down in Google play - it states What's new - v2.7 provides support for the new network players ND555 etc dated 5th September
In the Featured articles from Naim it states v 2.8 ???
Just Install it, it is v2.8 ..... honest

Thanks - I "think" I have installed it, I am currently updating my NAS firmware, so will try it all later. I really hope it has fixed the loss of connection issue !

I can't help you on that one, I'm a 99.9% iOS app user. I have the Android installed on my phone but rarely use it
Android app is being released in stages over a few days I believe, so not everyone will get it at the same time

No idea where you found that out, I just wish it was all a little more cut & dried.
I knew we were due updates, but for some the process is not very clear.
I am actually not sure if I have the updated Android app 2.8 or not ??!!
Using the app seems better - does not appear to lose connection with MinimServer, but [click] the About button in the app and it still says v2.7 ?????
To check the revision, go to the gearwheel tool at top right corner Settings>About & it shows a bunch of info including the app versione number.
I installed it earlier & it is 2.8
I use IPAD to control my NDX download worked first time - V 5.1 like the functionality and new look, will give it a work out this evening

@MikeB - I have checked via gearwheel - v2.7
I must be dim - I have done exactly as asked in the eMail I received and see no way to install v2.8
I get to this screen :-
My Android is v5.0 +, my streamer is v4.4
It then states as you can see v2.7 with updated date 5th Sept 2018
WHERE is v2.8 please ?

Just to clarify the roll out process on the App stores, which covers both Apple and Google Play. When we release an app it goes into a phased release whereby a certain percentage of users are offered the update at the beginning, and this percentage increases over 7 days until it is offered to everyone.
This is standard practice for many apps and is done to ensure a safe rollout across all our users.
So, I'm pleased that you're eager and I want to get it into your hands as soon as possible, but just hold tight and eventually Apple and Google will ensure everyone gets the update!

At last I have managed to load v2.8 BUT
I have lost the 'Naim' icon on the tablet desktop - any idea how I get it back (Android) ?
At present I have to go into Google Play and open app
I have to say the room finding and everything seems faster...crisper. Thanks guys at Naim

The same happened to me, but it was 'hidden' in my installed apps, several 'screens' away. I dragged it back to my Home screen.
As far as I can recall (and at my age, my memory is a thing of the past), other updates to the naim app have not required this intervention.
