I'm a newcomer to the world of streaming etc. but I need to build a new minimalist system.
It seems I can buy a used SuperUniti or a near-new Atom for around the same money.
Apart from the power differences, am I better off with the newer technology?
Anything else I should consider?

If you have a music collection of CD rips or downloads, the Superuniti on will do a great job. If streaming from web sources like Tidal is important to you, the new streaming platform used by the Atom will be a better option in terms of stability and the range of sources it can use. The wireless performance of the Atom is pretty good. On the Superuniti, it is rubbish, and you will need to use a wired Ethernet connection.

What speakers you want could play a part as the bigger power amp section of the SU will obviously drive less efficient speakers more easily, personally my choice would be the SU because I'd want bigger more powerful speakers but if your happy with bookshelf or stand mounted speakers then I'd probably go for the Atom.
