3 years ago I demo'd 3 pairs of speakers to pair with a Unitilite and as a result ended up with the LS50's. The others I tried were B&W's cannot remember which model but they were approx £600 and PMC's20.21 which were okay but I think they need more juice for them to sing than the UL could provide.

The KEF's are lively sounding  and with most types of music I enjoy them.

Remember that the UQ2 has a sub out which I found really opened up the choice. I had Q Acoustics Concept 20 with matching Q Acoustic sub and it was a great match.

i always liked the Dyn’s (specially the tweeters) with Naim gear, but felt more sinergy with ProAcs. Is this a Matter of signature sound? ????

i am considering the proac tablette as well as the harbeth p3esr. appreciate any feedback on these as well. thanks.

I have Dynaudio Excite X-12's with my Qute2 and think they're pretty fabulous.  I haven't heard the Focus 110's.  The Excite X-14's are supposed to sound similar to the 12's and I'm sure there are used 12's around.  I had tried other small bookshelf speakers, but the X-12's was where I started to hear enough bass to be happy enough.

Running Ls50’s in the office with my UQ1. Sound fabulous. One thing that’s important about Theo Ls50’s is placement. They really don’t like to be right up against a wall, and need sturdy stands. Mine in the office are wall mounted (well, post, really) near filed and sound really good - one of them is in the corner but the other has a whole room behind it. I also used little strips of Herbie’s grungebuster to get them nice and tight on the wall mounts (Pinnacle brand) and that helped. Great speakers that can now be found for little $.

2.5s were good. I really liked the tweeter. The bass was a bit boomy and they would  bottom out without too much volume. That wasn't great. For the money i thought they were decent speakers.

2.5s were good. I really liked the tweeter. The bass was a bit boomy and they would  bottom out without too much volume. That wasn't great. For the money i thought they were decent speakers. 

Indeed: the Danes know how to make marvellous tweeters. mr. M.  Børresen Is a good example of this.

Hahahahahah. You wish. I eard two times the Diamond series with Esoteric source and really liked. But those prices... ????

I demod LS50 against PSB imagine mini and the minis were way better: wider 3D soundstage, much more lively yet tight.

I have them spare along with a rel t zero sub which is a perfect combo if you are interested let me know. ????????
