That must be 30 years then..
A nice read, always good to see a local company giving young people an opportunity, but then also seeing them grow.
I would say most here would agree with Marks' closing statement, with some major jealousy
https://www.naimaudio.com/news...5-years-and-counting
I stumbled across it looking for show info.
Congratulations Mark!
When i first started at Naim, on my first day I didn't know anyone apart from Paul and Doug, but Mark immediately made me feel welcome, even sitting and chatting with me over my first lunch in the canteen. What followed was a steep learning curve taking in everything about Naim past and present, and Mark was usually my first go-to source of information. No matter how busy he was with the service department he always took the time to show and explain everything to me in great detail. Naim have such an asset in Mark. For me, along with Jason Gould, he is not just a much loved colleague, but is a key part of the fabric of the company. Long may that continue to be the case.
A rather strange opening line - a bit secondary modern, but yes, a nice article covering Mark’s time in Naim.
Same age as myself more or less- alas I couldn’t finish an article with such a statement.

Congratulations Mark.
We’ve met now at countless shows and demonstrations. You always have time for people, your enthusiasm is undiminished and your knowledge second to none.
Keep up the good work.
Best regards,
Lindsay
Does this mean he’s being lined up for a promotion??
Well it would be nice for the new MD to come from Naim itself.
I met Mark last Sunday at The Audio Room in Hull came across as a great bloke and he had the time to chat about the Statement and ND555.
Many congratulations to Mark. I have known him for 22 years and he indeed is a large part of what has made Naim what it is today.
best wishes Devraj

I was going to ask Richard for the same bio
Big respect, Mark has a big heart - massive ethic to do the right thing, I sometimes made decisions which Mark looked at from a different viewpoint and I must say he was almost right all of the time- congratulations, I had a great time working with you.
Great to learn a bit more about Mark - one of my favourite Naim people and always a pleasure to chat to. I've still got his ex-demo 500, doing the business every day! Congratulations Mark, you're a top bloke!
Another customer here who did a naim factory tour last year. I was on holiday and visiting from Australia and was graciously hosted for the day by Dan and Mark.
Mark was the most patient, friendly and welcoming host I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. His vast knowledge and genuine love for his job ( or lucky hi fi gig that never ends was his description!!) was quit obvious to see within the first 5 minutes of the visit.
I would find it hard to believe that there is a nicer or more genuinely passionate “ front of house” person in the UK hi fi industry.
I'd like to know what system he has.
I think Mark has a slightly unusual set up: 552 and power amp section of Nait 2 into SBLs. I think he felt that the mid range magic of the 552 was supported by the organic mid range of the good old Nait. I think his source is NDS and Reel to Reel.
Thanks Dev B I bet that sounds pretty good.

He mentioned on Sunday that he is using a 272 with 555dr
He uses a 272/555 MR edition in his bedroom apparently. Downstairs it’s the slightly unorthodox but highly effective 552/Nait pairing ????

I also met Mark at The Audio Room last Sunday afternoon and although I have seen him a few times over the years, or should I say decades!, it was the first time that we had a good chat. He came across as really interested in my system experiences and did not do any sort of hard sell which I appreciated.
Definitely a nice bloke.
Richard
I recall Mark from a 1988/87 Bristol hi-fi show, when he was very young and eager to talk about all things Naim.
He retains all of that enthusiasm still today. A truly excellent Naim advocate.
What they said: A great guy and constant credit to Naim.
I have met him by chance in Turkey distributor, very nice to talk...
they got the right distributor noe after a very wrong one

Mark came to my place to help out with a NAP300 problem. when Mark visited my place to help sort out a problem with one of my then NAP300s, I was very impressed by his relaxed sympathetic and logical approach to fault diagnosis. He took the 300 back with him to Naim Audio to get fixed.
This is the 'Naim Audio' that I know, respect and value...

Congratulations Mark, quite an achievement! With Jason you are Naim to me.
Keep up the great work and thank you for your help at our recent ND555 event.
Best wishes,
Peter
Mark Raggett is one of the most loyal and hard working men I have ever met and hopefully he will still be at Naim for another two decades or so.
Congratulation Scummer!
