uniti qute is not dicoverable by the app

hello friends,

after updating the app and the firmware to 4.6 i'm not being able to identify the UQ anymore. it's not appearing on the list of streamers on the app home page and the app can not find the "rooms" as well. also the UQ can not connect to net through the ethernet cable or the wifi anymore.

any suggestions?

I already reboot everything and also reboot the UQ to factory settings, nothing is successful unfortunately.

The UQ2 won't appear in the list of streamers on the app home page because it doesn't need setting up via the app. It should just work.

i think the problem is that your UQ2 isn't getting an IP number from the router. Did you try restarting your router? You should turn off the UQ2 and the router, also any switch if you have one. Restart the router, let it finish starting up and then turn on the switch (if you have one) and then the UQ2. Then restart the app.

Can you check your router to see if it is allocating an IP address to the UQ? You should be able to see it in the router settings, or there is a good little app called Net Analyzer you can use to check this. 

When you restart, I suggest turning off all network devices. After a few minutes, turn on the router and let it complete its startup. Then turn on the streamer, then other devices one at a time. This may help if there is a discovery or IP address issue.

Yes Chris and I are saying the same thing! I agree that the Net Analyzer App is a good way to check if your UQ2 is getting an IP address from the router, but if the UQ2 can't see the internet and your app can't see the UQ2, there is pretty well only one thing it can be (assuming the network cable is plugged into the UQ2 properly).

thank you guys,

well, I did all of the above, it does work, but I keep loosing connection.

it wasn't like this before, maybe it's not UQ2, I will have to bring the net company to make a real checkup.

Are you using wifi to connect the UQ2 to the router or an ethernet cable?
