problem with Naim Uniti Nova and spotify

Hello. 

My Uniti Nova is in version 2.6.1.9794.

There is no update with the software menu.

But for 2 days, I can't connect with Spotify Connect protocol.

 

Any idea?

Thanks Richard!...it’s good to see Naim (and your good self ) are “on the case”

it would be nice if some others would stop bad-mouthing Naim for what would appear to be a minor problem caused by a third party.

Steve, it's not a minor problem at all, it's made my system 100% un-useable for a week now. Also, you can't put the blame all on Spotify, there's obviously an issue with how Naim have implemented the connect protocol with the Uniti devices, and it should not take over a week to sort out.

Whatever protocol Naim did passed the Spotify certification.....so it’s still with Spotify IMO.

And that's just it - Naim will have followed the specification Spotify provided to them to obtain this certification.  By introducing certification Spotify are also required to stick to the spec.  All Naim, etc. can do in cases like this is bring it to Spotifys attention and, if they can see the/an issue, let Spotify know.

We, the customers of both Naim and Spotify, once provided with enough information to know who to compain to should then do just that; in this case it looks as though those complaints should be going to Spotify, not Naim so I'm surprised to see the venom directed by some towards Naim in this, and similar, threads.

Now you (that's not "you" as in Gazza, but the affected customers) should be contacting Spotify and asking for a weeks refund of your subscription costs at the very least.

We can use the Chromecast to connect spotify to the unit, but unable to use spotify connect still, my Spotify App updated today as well and still no luck.

3 iPhones here in store (We sell Naim) and none of us are able to still connect with Spotify Connect, we are based in New Zealand. My app is up to date, other two are not, people able to reply with what device they are able to connect now with please, be it Android, iOS or Windows.

Seems like Spotify wasn't happy because Naim didn't pay a license (or something like that), consequently, they cut off the access to the service for the Naim products. And now, Naim has paid Spotify and it's working again without any update from both sides ^^. Am I right ?

The Spotify issue now appears to be resolved.  Anybody still having difficulty please contact support@naimaudio.com, thank you.
