iRadio - 13 Oct
Posted by: Mike-B on 13 October 2018
iRadio / vTuner is a bit of a car crash this morning, All of the Naim's Choice stations are off & its slow to connect, slow to fill buffer, to all the other stations. Anyone else having the same ???
I don't seem to be able to access any stations from within the iRadio input, but stations saved as favourites on the home page work normally. Odd!
Bit bit slow perhaps but otherwise seems to be working at the moment here.
It all gone crap again, date is 27-Oct & again it's Saturday morning. iRadio icon gives the never ending spinning wheel meaning I can't browse to go anywhere, Presets for Paradise & Naim Radio are slow to load "restoring history" & then both are silent, that tells me that all of Naim's Choice is down. Linn Jazz is slow to load but it does play & it's the same for all the national HDS BBC's.
Come on vTuner & Naim, get a grip & lets get it sorted. If it's vTuner maintenance, OK. but please remember us Europeans get up earlier in the morning than you do in the USA.
Just checked all good here (Bristol Area) been listening to Radio Two HD for a couple of hours.
Hi PCD, as I said in my post this morning, I've got all the BBC's & Linn Jazz on my presets, but Paradise & Naim Radio are down, there're loading to full buffer but are silent. I cant go anywhere on the browsing tree, its just a spinning wheel. I'm on BBC R6 Music at the mo, it playing OK but its showing the buffer is 0%.

Mike, whoops just checked Radio Paradise working but a bit slower to load no buffer levels on the ND555 also no Naim Radio and Naim Radio Paradise strange? BBC stations load very quickly as per normal.
As you say this does happen from time to time would be interesting to find out where the problem lies.
Same for me this morning with my Muso Qb - Radio Paradise very slow to load. In fact, so slow that I gave up and switched to another pre-set channel.
Seems fine now though.
It would be nice to get some clarification from Naim on this as my 272 and MUSO QB has suffered from this issue seems okay now though.

Yup, agree, but I suspect it was vTuner (HQ in NY) rather than Naim. I'm all OK now, so happy until the next time, but please vTuner not on Saturday mornings.
