Naim DAC

Why does DAC lose sync using cd player as transport?
Sound quality is perceptibly worse without synchronization.
I'm using Plinius CD-101 + Digtal Siltech Golden Eagle CD and Hi-Line cable to connect SN

Your post appears to be corrupt. Could you 're-write it please?

The Naim DAC will loose sync if the transport clock of your SPDIF source does not match closely enough the recognised SPDIF transport clocks for certain sample rates.. when this happens the Naim DAC will do is best to adapt to the source clock rate but this produces a less stable clock for the DSP and DAC chips and so SQ will be compromised.

And if it does this, I thought you can tell because the sync-lock light goes out?

Thank you for your support.
The sync-lock light goes out because the CD Player's clock does not match the DAC clock.
But what I would like to know is, how not to lose SQ using a synchronized transport or which transport / player works as syncronized in this case.
