Nova replaced UnitiLite - now NAS constantly dropped

Hi, I've Nova which replaced a UnitiLite last week and ND5 XS in another room, both using wired connections, and LIV Zen NAS. With the UnitiLite I never had any problems at all with NAS disappearing. Now the only way to get it back is to switch NAS off/on again each time. But as soon as I use Tidal or radio, its gone again, from both lite and nova. Any ideas at all please?

The Nova can't be stopping your ND5 XS from seeing your NAS.

I suggest you turn everything off including your router, then restart the router and wait for it to finish starting, then turn on the NAS and wait for it to finish starting, then restart one of the streamers, then the other.

You should also force stop and restart the app. Hopefully this will get everything working properly.

Thanks David, tried that, but with no luck. Nas was there to start off with but then disappeared again within half an hour....

If you leave the Nova off, does the ND5 XS  and the app continue to see the NAS? Or to put it another way, is it in fact the Nova that is causing the problem?

I tried them individually, and it didn't seem to make any difference, NAS worked for a little bit and then it was gone again...

So it's nothing to do with the Nova's arrival on the scene then. 

If we stick with the ND5 XS for the moment, when the NAS is gone, presumably you mean that you can't see it in the app? So when it's gone from the app, can you use the remote to find the NAS via the display on the ND5 XS?

The other thing I suggest is that you use an app like Fing or Net Analyzer to see what's going on with the IP addresses of the streamers and the NAS when the NAS is visible and when it isn't.

I started the apps again, and that seems to have done it! It's been 5 days and all still working. Thanks so much for your help!!
