morning
following Linn Selekt evening a couple of day's ago and recent launch's of NDX2 & ND55% which I also attended
I now think I have an outline plan going forward this is going to take a couple of years at least, but if anything else????? talked through with [@mention:1566878603906177]
current system LP12, NDX (2014) 282/HCDR/300DR/ into B&W 805N & single Fraim
- Next upgrade to SCDR for 282 & javelin Tone arm for LP12 (cirkus, Kore,Lingo 4, Khan, Trampolin 2, Tranquilty, Dynavector DX20X)
- purchase 252 to replace 282, can't go for 552 with out selling body parts
- OR first
- new speakers - Kudos Titans T505 which I love and will work in my room
- x 2 Fraim Brains Braun
- 555 for NDX (80% LP12 vs NDX)
Not planning to change to NDX2, I really like what the NDX2 offers but I think I would get more from SCDR & 252 when I get 555PSU this will open up NDS?
or I could improve the deck further with Radikal & Keel (when Javelin base is sorted), but only got the Lingo 4 in April this year and love the deck at the moment!

Interesting dilemma. Definitely the SCDR first. That will lift the 282 massively and will facilitate the 252 should you choose to go there. Whether you invest next in vinyl or streaming depends on which you tend to use most I guess, but somehow I reckon the Kudos Titan 505s might come higher up your list than you've shown so far - after all, it's the only item for which you used the 'love' word.

thanks Clive, love the rest of the system too but those T505 are something very special and i have heard them a few times now
I don't stream only Vinyl and UPnP which is why the NDX2 is down the list as vinyl is about 90% of lisening

seems reasonable and will come out sounding bery good
I also think the speakers may go up your list - I went overkill some years ago to my keeper B&W 803D3, which were (and maybe still are, a bit OTT for the rest of my system but they sounded lovely and have allowed me to hear every upgrade I've made to the rest of my system since. Also going this way first would allow you to get used to the sound of your new speakers before kicking in with the rest of the upgrades.
I went from 202/Hicap through SupercapDr to my final 252/SupercapDR and the supercap made a significant difference even to the humble 202 when the latter wasn't even using its full capabilities. When the 252 came in it is just so sweet The upgrade in sound is particularly noticeable on vinyl (I have a Majik LP12 but with the Krystal cartridge) and could suit you very well indeed.
Can't comment on the 282 since I missed that one out.
Happy choosing and listening,
Allan
