Hello,

I am looking to upgrade the 3 cables that connect these 3 boxes however I do not know exactly what they are! I would like to upgrade them all to Chord Sarum Tuned Array to match the rest of my system. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you in advance..J

Standard NAIM cables are excellent. You may want to check the forum rules regarding cables carrying power.

There is only one cable that can be upgraded and discussed here (as per the Forum’s regulations).
It’s the cable linking SuperCapDR to NAP250DR. Upgrades inlude Naim SuperLumina or various offerings from, say, Chord.

Other two cables linking 252 and SCDR should not be modified (Burndy and SNAIC).

Thank you Guinnless and Adam,

My sincere apologies for my ignorance pertaining to the forum rules and regulations. I meant no disrespect..

What offerings from Naim would allow for me to upgrade the Burndy and SNAIC? I am completely satisfied with the sound i have but can't help my self from looking to extract the very best I can from pre/amp set up. Having just moved from an integrated amp from another manufacturer, i couldn't be happier with my decision! Thanks J

There is no upgrade for the SuperCap Burndy or for the SNAIC. The cables are deemed as integral components of 252 and are not to be changed.

Congratualations on your decision to move to NAIM. You have a fantastic (and a classic) set. If you’d like to experiment with cables, you could try the interconnect (from source to the pre-amp), test some speaker cables and finally PowerLines on your NAP and SC. Your profile lists LP12. Are you using an RCA > DIN cable to connect to NAC252?

Enjoy the music!

Adam

PS. And welcome to this madhouse called the Forum

The question remains valid. Why is Salisbury not considering upgrading SNAIC audio signal connectors to HL or SL specs? ????

Just because you can’t change them doesn’t mean there’s nothing to tweak, with audible results, maybe. They should hang free, not tangled with other cables or laying on the floor and they can be massaged to relax them (search for this).

I suspect valid reasons such as nothing to improve might come into it.  Aside from that I would be very concerned to have a SNAIC connection without a locking ring
