Just checking on Fridays new releases and the new album by David Crosby 'Here If You Listen' looks and sounds quite interesting.

Logon to Qobuz and the 16-bit version is £16.99, then off to 7digital where it is still an ouch! at £14.99. Finally check what is up the Amazonian river and the physical CD is £9.99 and the same price at His Masters Voice. What is going on here! How does that work?

If you download a lot it is beneficial to have Qobuz Sublime. Now this album is also in high res more expensive as usual. But for high res 12.49 euros is still quite reasonable. It’s also about keeping an eye on multiple platforms and always selecting the best one. In the past I also had a working account on pro studio masters, but they now only accept customers from the us and Canada....

I find http://www.findhdmusic.com a useful starter for ten for hi-res download prices. It’s not perfect - it misses out a few useful sites such as 7Digital and Bleep, the prices can be outdated and it’ll display results from foreign sites that you may not be able to access - but it’s a start.

It didn’t, however, tell me that HiResAudio are selling the new David Crosby album (in, um, hi-res) for £14.90. https://www.highresaudio.com/e...y-here-if-you-listen
