Backing Up USB Hard Drive Uniti Star

Hi, Ive just got a Uniti Star and am climbing the learning curve! As I intend to rip around 700 CDs to an external hard drive I need to be able to do a back up of my music store onto a second hard drive. On the Naim App under Settings/ Manage Music, it says "configure music storage, backup & restore must". When I expand this there is no further reference to "backup".

Would I be right in assuming the reference to backup is a red herring and that I will need to copy via a PC/Mac?

Any advice on backing up would be appreciated, Thanks.

I have no idea how the Star performs a backup, but if the documentation says it can, presumably there is a way. I would get in touch with Naim, as support documents for the Uniti range are not comprehensive.

I would consider a proper NAS for storage, as I’m not sure if the USB storage on the Star can support a large music library. From here, an automatic backup should be possible.
