Interconnects

I've gone through a big system overhaul in the past couple of months including an upgrade to a XS2. The CD5si is feeding in to the amp with the SNAIC cable that came with the CD player but my turntable (Michell Syncro, Rega RB808, Dynavector 20X2L) is feeding in to a Rega Aria phono stage that is in turn connected to the XS2 via a pair of Audioquest Red River RCA cables. These are high quality cables so will I gain much (or anything) by swapping them out for a RCA -> DIN cable? If so which ones are worth considering, or are we only allowed to talk about Naim interconnects here?

No you can talk about 3rd party interconnects but not SNAICS as they are seen as internal piece of the equipment.

You could try something from Chord who supply some of their interconnects in RCA>DIN configurations.

Your CD5si is not connected with a Snaic; rather you are using the standard Naim interconnect. Naim do make a phono to din lead, equivalent to the standard din to din and which costs £115 and might be worth trying, as it’s very good.

And basically a Chord Chrysalis

A s/h Chord or a new Flashback DIN/RCA could be less than half expenses.

Even more affordable is Klotz ac110 which is eqvivalent to first edition Rega Couple bar the Neutriks. The RCA phono will fit into amp.

I use Chord Shawline RCA to DIN with my Oppo. Remarkably good, but it does cost around £200.
