Powerline

Borrowed a Powerline from my dealer to try with my Nova/Dynaudio Special 40.

its a bit of a mixed blessing. Instruments, especially bass are better focused and a lot tighter. I can hear things that were previously undetectable. However some vocals sound a bit too mellow which loses some of the drama of the performance.( Hard on Jim Morrison but the rest of the band sound great )

I’ll keep the cable as I listen to a lot of jazz and classical which are improved.

Agreed. Give it some time to settle in and burn in. I bought a demo Powerline and it took 3 weeks to fully shine. But, when it did, everything was better.

Good advice to give it a day or two. Has improved the bass and tightened up the overall sound. I’m hearing more detail than before and Jim Morrison is sounding better.

I listen to a lot of jazz and to my ears the tone is now more to my liking.

I’ve tried the original power lite again and there is now a very obvious difference.

Although expensive for what appears to be a two meter length of cable I have happily purchased the Powerline.
