ND5 XS Outputs

Hi, just wondering, can both outputs be used simultaneously on the ND5 XS?  In this case, DIN output > 202  and RCA output > subwoofer amplifier.

You need to feed the sub from your preamp power supply, or from the back of your speakers. The ND5 outputs are all at full volume so won’t work.

Doh! that's right. Forgot about that. Thanks!

You’re welcome. We wouldn’t want your sub blowing up!

Unless you absolutely must make  use of both outputs simultaneously, make sure you only have one output enabled - that gives best performance, DIN being preferred overall.

Thanks guys, I think i will just stick to using my HCDR for this purpose. Was just hoping to save on a custom cable. No big

If your sub has a high level input, you can run it from the input terminals on your speakers using inexpensive speaker cable, which is likely to be much cheaper than a custom low level interconnect, and may also sound better.

This is how I am running it currently, however, I will soon be purchasing a separate power amplifier (that will drive subs only) that only has line level inputs. I wish it had high level as well.
