Uniti Atom Amps

Is there a way to turn off the amplifiers in order to use the Atom as a preamp only? Thanks for your help.
Thanks, JOHNELL. I'm making the situation work however, to use the Atom as a preamp you need to turn volume to 100% and I'm concerned that driving the internal amps to full volume (or 85% as it comes from the factory) may damage them. If there are no speaker wires connected to the Uniti isn't the amp still being driven. Just seems odd. Thanks for everyones input. -John
Perhaps Richard Dane knows the answer...
The Atom RCA output is post volume control, so you do not have to play it at full volume! It’s intended for use with an external power amp or subwoofer.
If you run the Atom volume at 100% then you'll be playing any attached power amp at full volume as the pre-out is volume dependant.
Does this mean that you are using it into a pre or integrated amp, which is not it’s intended purpose?
Perhaps, I might be using the Atom improperly, not sure. Here is what I'm trying to do. I want to use the Uniti Atom to drive a headphone amp listening to the streaming function. I know the Atom has a built in headphone amp but I much prefer the Manley Absolute Headphone amp. Since the Manley also has a volume control, the only way to get decent volume is to run the Atom volume control close to 100%. It does this quite nicely. My concern is for the internal amps of the Atom. I noticed there is a control setting to lower the amps output to zero. Would this be a way to use the Atom safely?

This is not the intended use of the pre out, passing the signal through two volume controls. If it sounds good to you, I doubt you will harm the Atom, but you could contact Naim directly to be certain, or ask your deaker.
