Naim 202 controlling volume

Posted by: Johnboy on 16 November 2018

Just a simple question, I am looking to buy a NAC202 to go with my NAP200.

The question is, is it a requirement to buy the NAPSC for the remote volume control to function from the NARCOM remote?

Or will the volume control function without one?

Thanks in advance.

John, you don't need the NAPSC, it's a nice little cost-effective upgrade though.  Just make sure you have the link plugs for the NAC202 as they will need to be in place when not using either NAPSC or Hicap.

You’ll want the NAPSC regardless.

For approx £80 to £100 used a Napsc is a must have ...and will increase the value of your 202 come upgrade time ..

We have just had a home demo of both a NAPSC and a HiCap DR.

They sounded so good we have gone for both options.
