Best Albums of 2018... So Far!

Ok, I think there has been quite a lot of new and good music, by new and also stablished artists, and enough to suit all tastes this year but there were three albums which did standout for me. They were, in no particular order:
Merrie Land by The Good, The Bad and The Queen,
Heaven & Earth by Kwasi Washington
and Collapse by Aphex Twin
So, what albums put a smile on your face this year?
This one definitely belongs on my list..
For those loving progressive rock
A very nice return to old form by Roine Stolt...
I had commented that it was rather ironic that the Both Directions at Once album, recorded in 1963, should feature on a best albums of 2018 thread, but this one beats that. John Coltrane and Miles Davis The Final Tour, recorded in 1960, but released earlier this year. Superb sound quality, both for its year and for a live recording. I see it's still only £17.99 on Amazon. Highly recommended.

Another vote for Low - Double Negative. Not a straight forward first listen, but once its gets under your skin it will be on repeat for a while! Reminds me a bit of the feel/sound from Portishead's excellent album Third.

Claire M Singer - Solas (2016) bought this year from her mum at Union Chapel Daylight Music concert
(Solas, Wrangham & The Molendinar were recorded by Iain Berryman at Union Chapel, London 26-27th February 2016 on the organ built by Henry Willis in 1877)
Off the top of my head it would probably be Janelle Monae's "Dirty Computer", though there may be better contenders!

Not surprised at the No 1 album a superb album.

I forgot about A Perfect Circle's "Eat the Elephant". Great album, and a very worthy contender for best of 2018!

Forgot this one. Heavy dub rhythms with jazzy mood washes.
Let me add two to this list. I think Ewemon introduced this fantastic one to us, since I have had it, it has had quite a number of runs here. The voice of this guy, the impact is amazing...
Just running the last number of this one, an absolute Juwel. Also different from the typical recital album....
