Emily Remler - Catwalk

You seem to have found a better cover art image than I did yesterday. I frequently think I'm the only one playing Emily Remler albums on this forum.

Do you have any albums where she is playing as a guest? I'm keen to explore more of her work. Anything besides those albums listed on the AllthingsEmily website would be of interest to me.

Hi Clive, I also enjoy her music. I have 'Waiting for spring'  and ' Soular Energy' (Ray Brown) where she also appears as guest. I have seen you posting 'Waiting for spring'. On the Ray Brown album she only plays on one track. I don't know any other album that isn't mentioned on the AllthingsEmily website. Regards, Jeroen.

Thanks, Jeroen. I do have the Ray Brown album too and a couple of Susannah McCorkle’s where she contributes too. I have recently ordered the John Colianna album as well as the Rosemary Clooney one. I have seen an article on the internet suggesting that she might have featured on an album by Deuce too, but I’m so far unable to confirm. This isn’t listed on the ATE  website, but I have written to Lu to see if she knows of it. I must do more research. Fortunately, there are many bootleg recordings on the ATE website.

Hi Clive, There is also a Dutch website about Emily Remler (http://www.emilyremler.nl/eur.html). I don't expect that is has more information / audio / video then the ATE website. But perhaps you'll find it interesting to browse through the site. Regards, Jeroen.

Wes Montgomery - So Much Guitar!

One Wes album is never enough. This one preceded Boss Guitar by a couple of years and features Hank Jones (p), Ron Carter (b), Lex Humphries (d) and Ray Barretto on conga drums.

Where did you get that Bert?  Seems to be on pre-order at Qobuz UK for 1st Feb and tracks limited to 30 sec previews but sounds good.

I got it yesterday via eclassical, aso cheaper.

An exceptional album. Not familiar with the double CD (mine is a single).

Her self-titled album is worth tracking down.

The extra cd is a set of outtakes and demos. Her first album is very good. ????
