Posted by: VoodooSebi on 14 September 2011

hello,

i have a huge collection of live bootlegs (cd & data) which i want to put on my hdx nas. when i copy files it is a big mess. nothing is in the correct order.

now i´m looking for a program (mac) were i can manage the files &  put coverartwork (which the hdx detects) so that everything is fine.

has anyone an idea if such program exists?

thanks for your help and excuse my bad english

I chose Jaikoz because of its quick editing, good lookup and also able to bulk move the files to folders based on the tags. They also seem to update it regularly as well.

I've recently sorted my library and found it the easiest of the os x ones to use. I also tried MusicBrainz Picard, but didn't really get on with it.

Hope this helps,

Rich

One more question, does the hdx detect the coverartwork that you've integrated in jaikoz automatically and shows it?

Picard is an excellent tag editor.

I haven't had problems with the cover art in Jaikoz.

Give Picard a go, but I found Jaikoz easier to use doing large volumes as it has a speadsheet arrangement, so you can simply cut and paste details between rows, useful when doing things manually as your going to have to.

Give both a try, I think the jaikoz demo is limited to saving 20 files, you then have to restart the app.

The most comprehensive software I have found is mediarage.

As for images name them 'folder.jpg' and put them in at the album level, obviously make sure they are jpgs and not to big 300pixals is fine.
