HDX radio failure!!
Posted by: kingsfan on 29 September 2011
Hello Naim!
I tried to install the internet radio yesterday on my (1.5a) HDX. I downloaded the file 1.6b from the homepage on a CD-R and everything went well until the machine should re-start itself. Now I have a massage on the display "Firmware upgrade failed, please contact your dealer..."
What am I suposed to do now? I live in Sweden and I donĀ“t know if my dealer can help me.
I have not powered it down yet. Will I have to send it to Salisbury?
Best regards / Hans Christensen

Hans, I think that when you face any problems it would be best to contact your dealer first. They should know what the proper procedure is if anything need to be sent back to Naim for service or repair. Secondly, you could mail to Naim support. They usually give their answer/advices quite soon (within a day or two).

I had a similar problem to you Hans, I rebooted without the internet connection,

In that case you have nothing to lose by doing a reboot which will usually clear the issue ... it shouldn't matter whether the network is connected or not.
Cheers
