Another vote for Sympathy for the Devil, with Gimme Shelter a close second. I never want those tracks to end.

I've just listened to Sticky Fingers for the first time in a while and to be honest just about any track would qualify. What a superb album it is.

Thanks Guys for your posts.

IMO there are to many to choose from,

Everyone has there faves.

I always come back to this, again imo great album from 1974.

Its Only Rock And Roll.

As a whole again imo, Every track could be classed as a classic.

The production went up a few levels with this album.

The one that does it though, Big time for me to this day is Time Waits For No One.

Its like a orchestral production and what Charlie does so simply on his kit is wonderful.

We used to spend many happy hours in my flat on the Fulham road fighting between this and Blood on the Tracks.

+1 Gimme Shelter

Honky Tonk Woman

No - wait - Its only rock and roll

Hang on - maybe Gimme shelter, or Paint it black, or Jumping Jack Flash

Hot Rocks - remastered tracks - sounds superb.

Questions like this relating to massive acts who have released loads of albums are generally impossible to answer and will garner loads of differing opinions but.......as far as the Stones are concerned it HAS to be the awesome Gimme Shelter ...which also may well be THE greatest rock song of all time by anybody!

Fool to cry

I was reading through this list thinking, 'no one has mentioned Fool to Cry'. Then I got to the end.

I don't particularly like the Rolling Stones, but 'Fool to Cry' and 'Sympathy for the Devil' are IMHO in a higher league.
