Any news on when they will be out. IIRC Beta testing had been completed ?

Thanks

Sorry I don't know.

I assume that the screen shots in the app store are of the beta version as they show progress bars which are sadly missing on this release. Also, the bug fixes do not appear to include the flaky process of changing internet radio stations, particularly favourites.

So the only new things are a few trivial presentational bits and pieces. Don't hurry home for this Allen!

Hook,

Mmmm - some of that behaviour (the  All Artists/Artist Name/All Albums/Album Name/Song part) doesn't seem to be part of n-Stream - it needs to be supported by the uPnP server.  I'm using Twonky into an NDX and I can go from the top level Music to Artist/Album, select an artist and then directly the album...  I can even go to a listing of all tracks (though it does take a while to fully load). All n-Stream seems to do is mimic what the upnp server supports.

But even after the update its all a bit minimalist and there's some rather odd behaviour around volume control depending on what's in focus.  [I'm using automation between the NDX, Supernait and CD5XS...]

But it works, it does seem a bit more responsive.  I think it crashes a bit more than it did before (first gen IPAD, IOS5) but only after the ipad has locked itself....

True, a lot depends on what the server provides. (Asset UPnP has nice options for this).
Still, n-Stream could easily store the path and let the user jump further down the tree, not forcing the retarded step by step schema. This should be a no-brainer for anyone with some UI experience.

iPad's display real estate is pretty much wasted on the app. The new "frame" around the cover art area doesn't fool anybody about the fact and the backround gradient is still horrid. It works but is cumbersome & ugly.

Yes indeed.  Even if you end up with the prototypical IOS 'mail UI' with floating list windows - just like plugplayer

And even with the frame around it, the re-rendering of the artwork is not good.  [That might not be n-Stream - might just my set up - will have to have a look with something else.]

<Edit: - no, the graphic thing is n-Stream.  Sigh>

Hi Slioch -

You are 100% correct.   When I looked at Artist/Album in Asset's browse tree, I saw below that there was a box labeled [A-Z] that was checked!   Unchecking it, and restarting Asset, eliminated this annoying extra step.   Now when I select an Artist, I immediately get their list of Albums.   Thank goodness -- this was really bugging me!   Thank you so much!
