Naim Unitiqute or to save money for ND5 XS?

The baseline is in the title. So, as a happy owner of a Naim kit (NAC122/NAP150) I'm struggling to buy or not to buy Unitiqute, primarily because of reported issues regarding unexpected non-responsivness, while listening to iRadio. I would fed my DAC (which is now a wonderful M2Tech Young) instead of CA NP-30, which I have been using for some time with no problems so far, wondering what one might expect in terms of SQ, jumping up at Naim's courtyard. I suppose a lot...

However, is it a Upnp server choice for Unitiqute limited? Are there any issues regarding ND5XS, similar to Unitiqute, and how easy one might expect to install and run server via qute or ND5?

So far Twonky is working fine on my CA as well as radio.

And I am listening to radio lot more than I thought I would and decided to definitely experience something rather more sophisticated than my current setup, which Naim definitely is. Speakers are Focal JMlab MiniUtopia.

Please don't thow away Unitiqute option right from the start, as I would be using it primarily as a streamer through its digital out. And at 1st it seemed so cozy and easy to setup/use.

Kind regards

Lot of money to stream radio.  My inclination would be to simplify.  In other words ley go of the CA NP-30 and your M2 dac and get an ND5XS.  When all is said and done I don't believe you will have spent any more cash and you will have in one stroke upgraded and eliminated a box at the same time.  The ND5XS should be no more problem to set up than the simple little UnitiQute.  Twonky will work fine with either Naim you choose.

Our experiences so far are that NP30 and Qute have about the same behaviour in a same network: same response to Wifi and same response to major UPnP servers. Of course SQ...

ND5XS and SuperUniti (so with the new Naim streaming board) are much more solid regarding Network, and it is obvious in difficult situations.

Manu - when can we expect to see the 5xs in (Western) Canada?

There is one at HiFI Centrer for a few more days. It will be at Asolute AV in Calgary from the 20th.

Another one at Creative in Winnipeg next week.

We should get our first real batch by the end of next week. So count about 2 weeks to have them on dealers' shelves.
