PS Audio PerfectWave DAC
Posted by: mipi on 13 November 2011
Hi everybody,
just out of curiosity (and as I read a lot of positive reviews about the PerfectWave DAC): Did anybody already listen to it? How is it compared to the nDac and - together with the bridge - to the NDX?
Thanks, mipi

Ragman, with the plethora of DACs these days, we are all spoilt for choices! As with pop culture, you will find the latest flavours of the month (Berkekey, Weiss, Myfek, Teac) and now the DSD rave, my advice is to stick to the Naim DAC if you have a Naim system because the synergy you will gain is something that cannot be simply put in words. In my Naim journey, I've come to learn the voicing and synergy of Naim units. Sure, you will hear more sparkle with one DAC, more holographic soundscape with another, etc but music is about the sum total of all its parts and not just spotlighting of one or more features. You want to emotionally connect with the musicians even though the Naim systematic lose out is particular areas to another third party DAC, what it does is to convey the integral, overall picture in a way that no other combination of separates can communicate.
Do yourself a favour and audition a Naim DAC. The good thing about auditioning Naim at most (if not all) Naim dealers as its a given they will use Naim power cord, Naim speaker cables. The only other variable would be the listening room. That's an immense benefit and narrows down what really matters for you to focus in the audition process.

I Wanna know the comments of like minded people.
So your advice is nothing with benefit. Especially because this idea I have had by my own.
