Duff sound but the real crime was chopping off some of the best Jimmy Page solo ever, from the track No Quarter.
Literally unforgiveable.

In the classical area, I can think of quite a few really bad remasterings, usually excessive noise reduction under the banner of 24/96 resolution - EMI's great recordings of the century series is a serious offender, but Universal also managed to ruin some pretty good recordings recently (e.g. the Karajan La Boheme reissue).
