What is the worst ever 'Remaster'?

Ok, I'll start.  'Hounds of Love'.  A criminal offence by comparison to the rather fine original CD pressing. G

If they gave out awards for the worst ever remaster?

This would take it imo.

Its a crime against music.

Another vote for 'Mothership'. Truly shocking.

And as if things couldn't get any worse - they did this!!

Duff sound but the real crime was chopping off some of the best Jimmy Page solo ever, from the track No Quarter.

Literally unforgiveable.

In the classical area, I can think of quite a few really bad remasterings, usually excessive noise reduction under the banner of 24/96 resolution - EMI's great recordings of the century series is a serious offender, but Universal also managed to ruin some pretty good recordings recently (e.g. the Karajan La Boheme reissue).
