24bit/192kHz streaming updates

Posted by: Richard Dane on 12 December 2011

Naim NDX: For early NDX owners who wish to upgrade to the 24bit/192kHz streaming board the cost will be:

A) If you or your dealer return unit to the Naim factory for board change, fitting, firmware update: £200 +VAT & carriage
B) If your dealer is able to fit the board and update firmware themselves: £125 + VAT plus any labour and carriage costs your dealer may charge you.

Any units purchased after the beginning of July 2011 will be updated for free, however this offer is open only until 29th February 2012.  Normal charges will apply thereafter.
.

Naim Uniti & Unitiqute: There are two  version of the Uniti and Unitiqute available, with either 24bit/96kHz streaming or 24bit/192kHz streaming at slightly higher cost.  For those with 24bit/96kHz streaming who wish to upgrade their Uniti or Unitiqute to the 24bit/192kHz version the cost is as follows;

A) If you or your dealer return the unit to the Naim factory for board upgrade, fitting and firmware update: £350 inc. VAT + carriage.
B) If your dealer is able to fit the board and update formware themselves: £250 + VAT plus any labour and carriage costs your dealer may charge you.

Please note that the update to the Naim Uniti can only be applied to units that have a digital iPod connection (uses standard Apple USB connector into the front panel). Units with analogue iPod connection (uses n-Link connector into the rear panel) will be updated to digital iPod when the 24/192kHz update is applied. There will be no additional charge. Uniti with analogue iPod connectivity must be returned to ourselves for the 24/192kHz update as there is additional work needed to implement the new streaming card

Part of the cost of the NDX, Uniti and Unitiqute upgrade is being subsidised by Naim and is on an exchange basis with the existing streaming card.
