Marcobb,
there should be absolutely no difference.
Keith
It was Gary Crocker, head of the NDX design team who had implied that, and the exact quote is:
"We wished to optimise the audio processor and network performance for 44.1 media as this is why the NDX does not support 192 that’s not to say it won’t in the future….. "
Ah, I should qualify my reply because perhaps the question is a little ambiguous; I mean't there should be no difference whether the board is fitted by Naim or by your dealer.
As to any sq differences between the 24/96 and 24/192 board, I don't know, but from experience would expect that Naim would not change something if it made it sound any worse...
Good save!

Keith,
I think those would be features of n-Stream, rather than being dependant on the streamer hardware. A Volume slide bar might prove tricky - at least with any of the pre-amps or integrateds that use an analog pot. The control is RC5 for turning the analog pot motor one way or another. AFAIK there would be no feedback so the bar wouldn't know where the volume pot is positioned.
The microphone in the iPad could hear how loud it was and set the volume slider to the right position - personally I quite enjoy the walk over to the 282 to alter the volume.
I have an HDX and a Nait XS amp. I can control both with an Ipod, using a combination of N-serve and Redeye Remote. It works pretty well, even though I have to switch between apps to select music and then adjust the volume. It would be even better if Naim could get together with Redeye to produce a combined app. And better still if Ipod then produced a model with physical volume buttons like a Pronto, to give more attenuated control.
