Music Industry Press - Help Please

Hi Folks

A friend of mine is a respected recording engineer in the states and sent me the following request:

"I'd like to put some small, simple, ads in the back of some magazines outside of the US to draw new business - can you suggest any good choices in or around your country to do that? I'm thinking songwriter/artist/recording/guitar/etc. kind of magazines. Thanks for your help!"

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot - I'm afraid this is alien territory to me!
