What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

I have heard, as if for the first time, Schizoid, TOAPP, Catfood, Starless, Ladies Of The Road, I Talk To The Wind, Red & Matte Kudasai. What a fantastic album.

Debs

After mainly playing the 2nd/3rd albums (Antics/Our Love To Admire), I returned to the debut. It didn't appeal as easily on first play, but now absorbing the subtleties of the Interpol "sound", my re-introduction gives it the Paul Daniels "MAGIC".

Note: Amazon LP available @ £8.64 for pre-order. This item will be released on 2 April 2012

iTunes/iMac:-

This is the first Rush album I ever heard, summer of '80, and I was immediately hooked, and sorted all previous albums, ( and all to follow).
Probably still my favourite album or maybe Power Windows or ....

Britten's three suites for unaccompanied cello, by Pieter Wispelwey on stunning form. The sound quality is amazing (CD stereo layer).

My first listen to the album (and the band, for that matter), via Spotify.

A guilty pleasure, for sure, but half way in I'm finding it to be enchanting pop with a retro-80's flavor.
