MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down...
Someone left the cake out in the rain
and I don't think that I can take it
'cause it took so long to bake it
and I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!
Dang, dang, da-da-dang, da-da, daa daa da- dadang. DADANG. DADANG etc.

The guy that produced the album come round to my place once and heard my active DBL system. And was he every impressed, inspite of years of hearing master tapes played through 'studio monitors'.

This is an amazing sounding recording. The CD release is eons behind what can be extracted from the vinyl release.
Here is just one song from his LP, ripped from the 45 rpm multidisk release.. But you will need to put the www. infront of it, since I am not attempting to post a hotlink.

Handel arias and duets, by soprano Sandrine Piau and alto Sara Mingardo and excellent support from Concerto Italiano. Handel's operas lend themselves excellently for extracts - these are not bleeding chunks, but self-contained musical works especially when presented with the introductory recitatives as here.
Cheers,
EJ

Just been delivered, & the addition of Gavin Harrison has not detracted from the usual genius of the two more usual protagonists.
Prog metal, well mastered and recorded once again.
Not quiet the in your face impact of 'Office of Statistical Influence' but enjoying this a lot.

On vinyl, a reminder of when Matt Johnson produced great music. Not sure why he stopped, but I'm sure he's still got things to say.
