What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested? (Vol.VIII)

With 2012 almost upon us, it's time to start a fresh thread.  I've gone back to an earlier thread title because often the "why" is the most interesting part of the post.

more excellent vinyl...

The wonderful vocals of Paul Banks, from Interpol and Sharon Van Etten are captured so well on both LP's. The artwork & packaging are also first class.

Starting with the 1972 recordings of the Brahms Piano Trios & Schumann's 1st Piano Trio with Rubinstein/Szeryng/Fournier.  Heading into the Brahms Piano Quartets & Quintet.  These are from 1967 and Rubinstein with Guarneri Quartet (part or whole).

Veldhoven's first recording of the St-Matthew's Passion. Still one of the best versions available.

First listen.  This came up in one of those Amazon recommendations a few times.  I am not familiar with Guy Clark, but I enjoy a lot of artists on this album, so picked it up.  On the first CD and enjoying it quite a bit.
